The most powerful figurative language

The most figurative language in this poem was hyperbole. The reason is she over exaggerated on the shapes colors and sizes of the birds in her poem. Out of nine lines there were no more figurative language, and there were no clich'es in the whole poem. This poet is a very smart person and intelligent person as far as it goes when it's time to write poems. Another reason this is the only powerful part of figurative language because, this person basically wanted to have more interest in to poems.

Conclusion based on Good Poetry

The conclusion I came up with is that every poem that is good also has a good percentage of ajectives, verbs, and nouns. The poem is a good poem, because good poetry doesn't use a lot of adverbs and ajectives. The linking verbs are used a little but not to much it might make the poem cheesey. Then every percentage came out to be in the 90 to 80 percent range that is good that A+ material. that just give me more ideas about my poems and can also help me keep away from all the different words that turns a good poem bad. I also learned if I use less linking and more action and ajectives my poem will be able to be read and the person reading will be interested and understand my feeling in the poem or picture what I pictured when I wrote it.

Vivid Pictures of nouns in my mind

The nouns that I picture in my mind are the birds,colors, sizes, and the ground. The reason is because, i just can picture the birds eating and fighting eachother over food on the ground. When birds are fed they are fed what you give them and there isn't any telling how manybirds are going to come down to eat. When they do you see birds gong for the same piece of food. The nouns are all used in the correct way in this poem. She has very little abstact nouns, and the concrete nouns are used correcttly also. This poem helped me notice how to make my poem mmore concrete in nouns and ajectives.

The words that were chosen in the slang dictionary were defined to all be derogatory to women. In my case the words are not and I say this because, the words chosen were mean't for the people who are defined this way. If you women are not defined this way, then you have nothing to worry about. Not saying that you were worring about anything, but if you are agaist the words being derogatory to women then you have nothing to worry about.
One of the words was hood hopper. A hood hopper is a person who moves from place to place and is originally from some where else and claims to be from the next place they move to. The second definition of hood hopper is if you were in relation or not with many different people, and claim to be with all of the people and the people happen to be from the same neighborhood. That definition is not mean't only for women, it is mean't for all genders. The reason this word was picked because it is a word that is known in schools and local neighborhoods.
There are even words that were picked that had definitions to the words that didn't make any sense to me. Maybe the reason was I never heard that word in my neck of the woods. That is an example of another kind of slang. The term "neck of the woods". That is short for my neighborhood. But the word that I was talking about I didn't under stand was zonked. I never knew or heard that word as a slang word until we decided to make a slang dictionary. The word zonked means tired, agsausted. That word I would have thought that it mean't being struck by someone or an object. That has nothing to do with being derogatory of any sort but I didn't know the word until then.
There is a word that can only be mean't for women that word is dingy. Which means not that bright for a female. The second meaning is not classy enough for a hip person to date or be friends with. That word can be used for a male but it sounds better defining a woman. There is another word that has the same definition but is mean't to define a male. That word is lame guy.
A guy would be lame if he were not that smart, and not average enogh for that hip lady.
The words that are in the dictionary can be derogatory to women if you say and want them to be. But there are people that think a totally different thought about the words. My whole main point is that if you do theses things then you have to worry about the words being derogatory if not don't let it worry you.

Women Talk Too Much

Janet Holmes is trying have the back of all women that talk about everything in life to another person in life all the time. But the evidence of this article is that men talk the most because in the studies of how much women and men talk in America women talk to much in two situations. The percent of men and women talking too much is found out about the same.
This is a question that is hard to answer it would take a lot of work to find which gender talks too much. in this case I know the women are for the women and the men are for the men. So this means that the real clues of knowing who talks to much will never reveal.what I am trying to say is that women to me in my opinion do not talk to much and men don't talk to much either it is all a medaphor people use against women that they talk too much but that isn't true. You talk enough to get your point across. That goes for women and men too.

There is a slang dictionary that is being written by students. All of the words that were chosen are referring to women. For example, the word gold digger and hood hopper are words that consist of men also not just women. These words are always used in an average black neighborhood. You know a girl and you know she has been through a lot of dating with your friends and a couple of relatives. This woman is considered a hood hopper.
The reason I think a lot of students picked these words is because the words that were picked are going through the school.
I think the words should be in the slang dictionary because the words really are used in the average black neighborhood. The words that people make up go a long way. If someone hears a word they like, then they will start saying it often. Then the next person might feel the same way, and so on.
I had different thoughts about the definitions of a couple of words that the people in my class chose. For example “zonked” was defined as tired. I thought that it meant to be hit or struck by something or someone. So that would be a word that won't be passed on or used by me. These words are derogatory only if you make the words out to be. Therefore the slang dictionary should be written for the sake of slang terminology. Speaking in slang you get a good understanding of a black slang culture. If you speak that way, then you understand what I am saying, but if not, then what I mean is if you take it as being derogatory then it is. If you don’t think it is derogatory then it isn’t in your category.
